About the Founder

Mrs. Rajeswari Cherukuru, BSc., B.Ed., MA., M.Ed., started her teaching career in 1972. After a successful career of 27 years as a teacher, she pursued her life-long dream of establishing a school for rural and under-priveliged children.  Her passion for teaching combined with a determination to bring quality education in the Montessori style, she established the Rajyalakshmi Trust and Akshara Mandir Primary School in 2007.

Today, the school serves the rural children of Guduvanchery and provides state of the art in infrastructure and technology.
